To provide an historical study of the most recent battle. 2. To emphasize the influence of strategic background upon the tactical employment of fleets. 3. To discuss and alalyze the tactics employed during the Battle of Jutland. 4. To formulate lessons derived from this study for application to the future tactical employment of fleets.
