World War II on Bataan. Reminiscences of the Bataan campaign by Sergeant Pacifico Macapagal of the Thirty-first Di­ vision, Sniper Company commanded by General Bluemel. Macapagal's unit surrendered to the Japanese in 1942and he participated in the famous Bataan Death March; Account of the offshore patrol, the forerunner of the Philippine Navy by Captain Alberto Navarette, including their train­ ing, ships, weapons and wartime activity; Interviews with Major General Guillermo B. Francisco on the Defense of Bataan, with Commodore Ricardo Papa of the offshore patrol, and with Gen­ eral Manuel Yan on the invasion of Luzon by the Japanese, the Bataan Campaign and the Death March; Memories of General Douglas MacArthur by SMSGTS Solomon Bayonetta, his personal driver, 1937-1942, including an account of how he saved MacArthur's life and his funeral in 1964.
