World War II on Bataan. Reminiscences of the Bataan campaign by Sergeant Pacifico Macapagal of the Thirty-first Di vision, Sniper Company commanded by General Bluemel. Macapagal's unit surrendered to the Japanese in 1942and he participated in the famous Bataan Death March; Account of the offshore patrol, the forerunner of the Philippine Navy by Captain Alberto Navarette, including their train ing, ships, weapons and wartime activity; Interviews with Major General Guillermo B. Francisco on the Defense of Bataan, with Commodore Ricardo Papa of the offshore patrol, and with Gen eral Manuel Yan on the invasion of Luzon by the Japanese, the Bataan Campaign and the Death March; Memories of General Douglas MacArthur by SMSGTS Solomon Bayonetta, his personal driver, 1937-1942, including an account of how he saved MacArthur's life and his funeral in 1964.
