Biographical Note

McNamee graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1892. He served in the Spanish American War and as the Governor of Guam. He was a delegate to the 1919 Paris Peace Conference and was Director of the office of Naval Intelligence. McNamee was head of the Battle Fleet and was president of the Naval War College, 1933-i934. He retired to become President of the McKay Radio and Telegraph Company.
