Biographical Note
William P. Raimo was born in Medford, MA in October 1925. He was a ship fitter assistant at the Boston Navy Yard before he entered the navy at age seventeen. He served in the Naval Armed Guard, 1944-1946.

Tyson, 1944-1945, including copies of photographs of the ship's crew, lists of merchant ships where Naval Armed Guard won battle stars, newspaper clippings, and newsletters of the Naval Armed Guard Association.
