Biographical Note

HerbertF. Rommel, U.S. naval officer, was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1915 and attended the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a certificate in 1939. He joined the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1934 and was promoted to Captain in 1957. He retired from the U.S. Navy and settled in Newport, RI.
