Reminisences of Louisa Taylor Alger (1886–1962) written in response to questions concerning her grandfather, General Montgomery C. Meigs, Quartermaster General of the U.S. Army, during the Civil War on May 27, 1955. These reminiscences were transcribed, edited and typed by Mrs. Gert Ehrlich of Schenectady, NY in December 1961.
