Scope and Contents

Fedak discusses his service as medic in USS Monterey during the WWII. He trained in Farragut, Idaho, as a hospital corpsman and was in the Navy from 1943-1945. He commented on morale in the ship, the cases he treated, the Battle of Leyte Gulf, a typhoon, V-J Day, and his return to civilian life.
