Scope and Contents
Keith, Robert Taylor Scott, Sr., VADM, USN, 1905-1989. Reminiscences of forty years service in the U.S. Navy, including duty in Battleships USS Utah, USS Arizona; Command of USS Missouri in 1954; In destroyers, USS Overton, USS Aylwin and USS Cushing; Command of USS Nicholas during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He saw three tours of duty at USNA, including that of Commandant of midshipmen in the mid-l 950s. As a Flag Offi cer he was CO, Naval Base, Subic Bay; CO, PACFLT Cruiser Destroyer Force and CO, First Fleet. He retired on 1July 1964.
