This collection includes five letters from Stephen B. Luce, founder of the U.S. Naval War College, and one letter from Alfred T. Mahan, esteemed naval officer and historian.
Copies of Alfred T. Mahan lectures on military strategy, circa 1960s
Copies of Alfred T. Mahan's "Six lectures on the Military Strategy of the Campaign of 1796 in Italy in application to Naval Strategy." These lectures were written by Mahan around 1887 and were published by the Naval War College sometime in the late 1960s, possibly for class use. It is unknown where or what happened to the original copies of these lectures.
